Ice to Meet You, Pt. 2 (pt. 2)

As promised, here are a few more shots from last weekend's ice-related on goings in the Loop. There was a mime! Gals in goofy outfits showing off their hula hoop skills! And a dude with tattoos on his face busking. I don't remember him singing all that well, but he sang with a lot of passion, so I can't fault him too much. And he had tattoos on his face!

So now that you've seen these, you can head in the flickr direction and see more (if you haven't already).

Ice to Meet You, Pt. 2

There was an ice carnival down in the Loop over the weekend, and when I saw the words "ice sculptures" and "chainsaws," I knew I had to be there. It was, overall, a pretty cool (ha!) event. Thankfully, there was a lot of other stuff going on, so I got some other (n)ice shots as well, which I'll probably put up later this week.

Ice to Meet You

I didn't take any other pictures of people on this little endeavor today, so I broke my no self-portrait rule to tease the pictures I put up over at my flickr page. Scroll down a bit to find the link, then go check 'em out!

Care Bear Stare!

Alright, everybody, on three: awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww(www[wwwwww]ww).

So Katrina (see previous post!) and I had a deal of sorts--she let me be all goofy with the lights, and I came over and took pictures of her daughter, Winter, with what is the most Care Bears I've ever seen. I don't think there was any real reason for it, but it sure was fun. Winter was a good sport about it all, which made things a lot easier.

I don't have time right now to check all the pictures I've shot in the past few years, but these easily rank up amongst the most adorable. And it was fun to see how many of the old Care Bears I could name*.

*not many, though I did recognize a lot of them, for whatever that's worth.
